Venezuela attends Kazenergy Eurasian Forum in Kazakhstan

Caracas, 08 Sep. AVN.- Venezuela's Oil Minister Eulogio Del Pino attends the 11th Kazenergy Eurasian Forum, held in Astana, Kazakhstan's capital, with the aim of making proposals to achieve stabilization of oil market prices.

Through his Twitter account, the minister said "they will propose during the meeting establishing equilibrium prices for different energy sources."

The event will also be attended by President Nicolas Maduro, who announced it Thursday during his address at the National Constituent Assembly.

"I am going to attend an international summit of countries of the Islamic community, with OPEC and non-OPEC members. In Kazakhstan, I will hold bilateral meetings with leaders of OPEC and non-OPEC countries to seek to improve oil prices," he said.

Maduro also highlighted the success of the supply-cut deal of 1.7 million barrels per day, set by OPEC members and other major producers like Russia, while raising the need to move forward in a new phase.

This forum is being held as part of the summit of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC), a body of 57 countries.
