Venezuela's Maduro to strengthen alliances with Russia, Belarus and Turkey

 

Caracas, 03 Oct. AVN.- Venezuela's president Nicolas Maduro confirmed that the trip he started on Tuesday to Russia, Belarus and Turkey will serve to strengthen alliances of shared development for Venezuela.

"We are starting a very important trip to strengthen our partnership of shared development with Russia, Belarus and open new paths with Turkey, one of the emerging powers of the new world," he said, through a video broadcast through the social network Instagram from the presidential plane.

Maduro said he coordinates work plans covering agriculture, energy, with the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), as well as diplomatic and political aspects related to the African Union and the Bolivarian People's Alliance of Our America (ALBA).

The president arrived in Algeria on a stopover prior to his official visit to Russia. "At the airport in Algiers we have been received by authorities of this brother country," he said via the social network.

He stressed that this visit to Algeria will make it possible to strengthen "the strong ties of friendship and cooperation that we have established during these years and which are projected towards the future in the consolidation of bilateral relations."

During his visit to Russia, President Maduro will attend the Russian Energy Week 2017 and will continue to consolidate the Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy.

"Working hard for our country, working for the good of Venezuela, always bringing Venezuela better energies, better strength, better collaboration," he stressed in his Instagram message.
